CORDOFEU® 120, our range of 2 hours firestop expansion ropes
In our range of fireproof joints made in France, we propose CORDOFEU® 120, a flexible fireproof cord. Designed for the treatment of vertical and horizontal joints, it has a fire resistance time of 120 minutes. It is also resistant to water and humidity and can be used with a mechanical or clip-on joint cover.
Technical characteristics
- Composition : Non-combustible, rot-proof fibres (mineral wool, glass veil and glass fibre grid)
- Application : Fireproofing of horizontal and vertical joints on substrates from 350 kg/m3
- Compatibility : Cylindrical bead compatible with sealants and joint covers
- Substrate : Cellular and traditional concrete
Applications
Our fire-stop cord is suitable for various uses:
- Firestop treatment on support construction 350 Kg/M3
- Sealing of vertical linear joints
- Horizontal linear joint sealing
- Caulking from 12 to 180 mm
Installation tips
The installation of this product is done in several steps:
- After dusting the element to be caulked, you must glue the sides of the joint
- If it is necessary to adjust the length of the firestop cord, you must position an adhesive tape
- Use a knife or a wool saw to cut it
- Place the firestop cord
- To make a connection, you can use the mat to join the two lengths
- Final positioning of the cord
