CORDOFEU® 240, our range of 4 hours firestop expansion joints
Another product is available in our range: CORDOFEU® 240. The purpose of this product is to stop the spread of flames during a fire. It creates a barrier to restrict the fire at the point of ignition. By preventing the spread of toxic, suffocating smoke and gases, it also gives people time to evacuate the building. It also provides thermal and acoustic insulation of the supports on which it is placed..
Technical characteristics
- Composition : made of technical and flexible fibres (mineral wool, glass veil and glass fibre grid)
- Application : fireproofing of horizontal and vertical joints
- Compatibility : sealant and joint cover.
Strong points
Our CORDON 240 is very resistant and has several advantages. Resistant to water, humidity and incombustible, it is used to limit the fire and to fight against the spread of flames. Our 4-hour fire rope also provides good thermal insulation.
